Today is our 1st day of India VBS! Our overall theme for this week is “Prem” (Love). Please pray that every child will feel the love of God as we communicate to them how God loves the world and created us in His image. Pray that the kids will learn that we are all valuable and important to God.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. Genesis 1:27
Praise the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul. I will praise the LORD all my life;I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry.
The LORD sets prisoners free, The LORD reigns forever, your God, O Zion, for all generations. Praise the LORD. Psalm 146:1,2,7,10
Our team will meet with the VBS organizing team and teachers’ team for planning and decoration of the venue. Pray for COI leaders and our team as we get ready to share Christ throughout the week. Pray that we will be encouraging to the COI team in their work and their faith.
Commit to the LORD whatever you do and your plans will succeed. Proverbs 16:3
If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To HIM be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:11
Our group from 121 will have the opportunity to meet the VBS team and see some of Delhi. Please pray that we would be able to orient ourselves quickly to the new culture and enjoy our time with the Indian people over the next few days. Please also pray that our team remains tightly knit together as one.
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus. So that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 15:5-6
May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine upon us,Selah that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations. May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you. May the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you rule the peoples justly and guide the nations of the earth. Selah. May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you. Then the land will yield its harvest, and God, our God, will bless us. God will bless us, and all the ends of the earth will fear him. Psalm 67
We will be arriving in Delhi this evening. Pray that we will enter this new environment equipped with the full armor of God. Pray also that our bodies will adjust smoothly to the time change (10 hour difference) as well as the heat (temperatures will range between 105-115 degrees). Pray that we will reflect Christ in all we do and say throughout our trip.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. Ephesians 6:10-18
Today we begin our 20+ hour journey to the other side of the world. Pray that we will use this time to focus our hearts and minds on Christ and that the Lord will prepare our hearts as well as the hearts of those we will encounter for His glory. Pray for a safe and restful flight so that we will be prepared and alert upon arrival.
But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.Psalm 5:11
