games.. .geeky… gadgets… and more games. April 30, 2010 at 10:25 am

Here’s another  game I’ve run across lately….

capture3-16-2010-24632-pm4-6-2010-24350-pmtiny castle - it’s a well done platform game.  You have to keep going and the level keeps changing as you go.  Thankfully it saves every so often so you don’t loose your place. Try it out it’s fun.

geekyness- iphone 4.0 is releasing an OS upgrade!!! and multitasking here we come.

gadgets - we now have a mac in the house!!! working on transferring data from Windows to Mac… not as easy as I thought.

And finally, one fun game to leave you with Atomic Puzzler.
This is one of those games you say.. just one more level… just one more level…

Wordpress iPhone app April 27, 2010 at 8:50 am

So I downloaded the wordpress iPhone app. It’s sweet! Now I’m not just limited to my computers for blogging. Yeah I know I’m a geek…..

Along time ago in a galaxy far far away……. March 31, 2010 at 10:46 am

So I’ve been out of the blogosphere for awhile but I’m trying to come back with a bang!!! So without further ado I give you my 4G experience (yes I’m capitalizing on that term - 4G in my case is God, games, gadgets and geekery) :

God-
God has been at work in my life for sure the last year, I can’t believe it’s been since June that I actually posted something!
God has a been there to strengthen me and comfort me during the hardest part of my job while I was traveling and working 60-70 hours a week.  I believe that God has given me the perseverance to make it through the hardest part of my job and he kept me away from blogging to keep from being complaining and to be negative.  So now that I’ve almost been at Dell/Perot (What you didn’t know that Dell bought Perot? Yeah that happened back in October) almost a year, I do enjoy my job and I enjoy the people I’m working with and what I’m doing for Dell/Perot.  I have learned a lot and still have a lot more to learn.

games-

Here’s some of my favorite  games I’ve discovered over the last almost year. (more…)

It’s like Christmas here!!!! April 29, 2009 at 3:20 pm

Ok, my laptop was delivered to me today here at Perot Systems. I was shocked by how nice it is. It is the Dell Latitude E6400, Duo Core 8700 @ 2.57Ghz, 4GB ram, 80GB HDD.

It’s very nice, compared to the old thinkpad I was using as a temp. And infinitely nicer than what I had at Sprint.

Then the unexpected happened, my boss came by with some boxes that had my docking station, keyboard, mouse, and monitor. WOW! It’s a Dell 2208WFP (that’s a 22″ Wide screen for those of you who don’t speak Dell) a bluetooth keyboard and mouse and my docking station. I’m in geek setup heaven right now. hehehehe

All that and I should be getting a blackberry too!  I have to say Perot Systems treats it’s employees right!

Geeky video of the week March 4, 2009 at 9:40 am

It’s time to hack that old VCR!

Where did God, Games, Gadgets, and Geekery fit in this holiday season? January 5, 2009 at 1:04 pm

So my mantra has been God, Games, Gadgets, and Geekery and I thought I’d share with you how this fit in with my Christmas vacation (not the movie although I do love it).

God - We started a new tradition this year. Jacob helped me to bake a birthday cake for Jesus. So we baked the cake, put candles in it, sang happy birthday to Him, and then ate some of the cake. While eating the cake we talked about why Christmas was special and why Jesus’ birth was special. It was a very nice time with D’Anna, Jacob and I (we’ll include Julia once she is old enough to eat cake). It’s a tradition that we will continue to do and it will be the first thing we do before the mad rush of opening gifts, traveling, etc, etc…

Games - We bought a wii for the family for Christmas! It is amazingly fun. Although the graphics are not your latest and greatest, the implementation of the games with the wii-mote and the nunchuk are awesome! We went ahead and bought two extra wii-motes and one nunchuk so that D’Anna, Jacob and I could all play. We (not wii) bought wii-sports, wii-play, and Kawasaki-snow mobile. Wii-sports is by far the best of the lot we bought, featuring tennis, golf, bowling, baseball, and boxing. D’Anna beats my in Tennis, cause I have no backhand. Golf is a nice relaxing game. Bowling is an intense battle between all three of us, even Jacob does really well at this one. Baseball is all about timing, and Boxing is the real work-out and really enjoyable yet frustrating at the same time. Wii-play came with the extra wii-mote and it features a progressive list of games that helps with your control of the wii-mote/nunchuk better. Some of the games include a shooting game, a fishing game, a cow racing game (yes a cow) which is Jacob’s favorite, and a tank strategy game which is my favorite. If you haven’t had a chance to play with a wii, I highly recommend it as it is very fun.

Gadgets - Really the only gadgety thing I did this break was I help my grandmother set up her digital picture frame. Oh yeah and I bought D’Anna a new phone, the Samsung Instinct. It is very cool!!!

Geekery - Started talking and brainstorming about making a movie with five other friends (you know who you are) and I’m leaning towards playing a computer geek hacker type guy, yeah far stretch for me, right? I’m looking forward to working with these guys in such a creative way.
